Since 1992, Kinzua Fish & Wildlife Association has put 76 Channel Cat Nesting Boxes in the reservoir, although the earlier ones were not built the same as the newer version. For a look at the complete history of Catfish Nesting boxes, click here.

The entrance to a CCSB. The openings are pointed away from shore, then the boxes are weighted with rocks and/or cement blocks. The cats like to back into the dark opening to lay their eggs. |
